He hails from Afghan heritage, grew up in the US, & studied at the College of Islamic Law in the University of Madinah
His journey in seeking traditional knowledge started in the U.S. while in high school & college. He continued to pursue his studies in the City of The Prophet (peace be upon him) for 10 years under the tutelage of over 50 of the scholars in Madinah in the Islamic sciences with a focus in Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Usul and Ifta, Hadith, Quranic Sciences and Tafsir, Sirah (Prophetic Biography), and History. He studied as well the archaeological sites and historical landmarks that are related to the life events of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) and is part of organizations, historical societies, and institutes dedicated to the study, research, and preservation of the historical sites in the two sacred sanctuaries of Makkah & Madinah. He has a working relationship with the Center for Historical Studies of Madinah, and is part of Taybah Research, The Society of Archaeology and Historical Sites of Madinah.
With over a decade of experience in working with different organizations at the local, national, and international level, he has held positions as a board member of many organizations, mosuques as Imam. He dedicates his time in teaching, study, & research in Madinah where he currently resides with his wife.
He enrolled in Umm al-Qura University in the holy city of Makkah, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Judicial Studies (Dirāsāt Qaḍā’īyyah). As this program focused primarily on Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, he also pursued study of other sciences, particularly Hadith and Tafsir, outside the university.

He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Fiqh at Umm al-Qura University, and resides in Makkah with his wife and five children.

Ismail has also authored a couple of books: on Arabic morphology, and a translation of the Hanafi law primer, the Mukhtasar of Al-Quduri. He plans to author on the areas of his research interest in the future. He has previously taught at both Ebrahim College and the Tayyibun Institute in East London, and has been invited to lecture on aspects of Islamic law in North America and Europe.
Ismail's research interests include the reconstruction of various aspects of advanced Islamic sciences, including Hanafi jurisprudence, Ijtihad & Taqlid, weak Hadith, intra-Muslim comparative theology, and the canonised Quranic recitations. He is also an avid reader on Islamic advanced learning pedagogies and the position of Muslims as minorities in the West.
Ismail continues to reside in Yorkshire, with his wife and four children. For the past decade, he has worked as a business consultant in the TMT industry.
While studying at the university, he supplemented studies with traditional classes with scholars in: Nahw, Sarf, Balāghah, Hadīth sciences, Shāfi’ī Fiqh, Usūl Al-Fiqh, Mantiq (logic), and the Islamic disciplines.
Dirie has been teaching Hadīth, Tafsīr, Tazkiyah, and Arabic to students in person and online for 3 years and translating Arabic texts for 5. He has an official certificate to teach Al Arabiyyatu Bayna Yadayk from the author of the series.
His research interests include: Arabic Grammar, Morphology, Tafsir, and Tazkiyah.
Faisal's research interests include: Quranic Sciences and Qira'at; Fiqh; Economics & Islamic Financial Law; Political Science; Human History; The Arabic Language; and Historical Linguistics.
Since then he has continued studying and more recently has become concerned with writing in Spanish. He has translated basic introductory texts in Islamic sciences such as Manẓūmat al-Zamzamī and Ibn ʿĀshir and has completed commentaries of some of them.
He currently works at Ebrahim College in curriculum development and teaching, and occasionally teaches short courses at other institutes.
His research interests include hadith-criticism, the history and evolution of the Maliki school, the development of usul and methodologies of fatwa. He also has an interest in the relationship between modernity and Islam.
In 2008, Uwais completed his Master’s degree at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Uwais went on to work as a publishing assistant for the Islamic Texts Society in Cambridge and provided editorial and translation services to several publishing houses.
During 2011-2015, he taught Arabic and Islamic sciences in London at the Ebrahim College, Hafs Academy and Jibril Institute. Thereafter, he returned to Blackburn and is currently dividing his professional time teaching Arabic at a secondary school and the Nizāmī Institute. Uwais is a doctoral candidate and does research at Royal Holloway.
He is currently pusuing an MA study of Orthopedagogy with specialty in Behavioral Disorders at the University of Applied Sciences in Holland.
His specializations include Theology, Heterodoxy and Heresiology, Islamic History, and Hadith. He has also acquired practical knowledge of Islamic education (primary and college levels) and spiritual care in (forensic) menthal health care. Currently he teaches Islam at an Islamic primary school and coordinates the Islam education programs of several schools. He teaches and researches also for the Institute of Islam Studies, developing and giving BA level courses to Muslims and non-Muslims on a variety of topics.
His research interests include: Islamic Theology, Early Hadith Literature, Sira (Prophetic Biography), Qur'anic manuscripts, Biblical Textual Criticism, Islamic Psychology and Education.
Moulay Abdallah resides in the Netherlands with his family.
In between his secular studies, he took time out to formally study for an Alim certificate at Islami Academy in New Delhi, while continuing private studies with teachers in Saudi Arabia and India.
He currently leads research literacy and behavior change programs for the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative in India, and teaches Islamic studies part-time at Islami Academy and Ma'had al-Taqwa in New Delhi.
His research interests include Hadith and comparative historiography, Muslim intellectual history during the medieval and early modern periods, Tasawwuf and reform, and Hanbali Fiqh and Usul.
Dr. Saleh-Mohd has teaching experience and worked with different age groups. She also worked with educators and provided training. Throughout the years, she provided various workshops and seminars to the local community as well as in other areas.
Dr. Saleh-Mohd has been married for 25 years. She is the proud mother of three wonderful children.

Currently, she works full time as a school social worker in the public school setting and part time doing therapy with adults, teens and youth. She loves advocating for Muslim mental health and breaking down misconceptions that surround it. She has presented workshops on youth and family issues, bridging spiritual and cultural divides, marriage and premarital guidance, and maintaining peaceful families and stopping abuse in our community. She's also led groups for Muslim teen girls and children of divorce. Ala is married and loves spending time with her 8 year old son, Yahya. Ala is also part of the Khalil Center Los Angeles team, serving as a therapy supervisor.
Sarah uses a person-centred and solution-focused approach in therapy. She works as a Youth and Family Counsellor, with youth, parents and families as well as couples seeking support and strategies that offer solutions and positive change in relationships. Sarah is experienced with working with clients in crisis, suicidal ideation and other mental health disorders. She has experience over 7 years of working with first and second generation Canadians, newcomers, immigrants, refugees, and international students and workers.
Sarah is a compassionate therapist, dedicated to understanding her clients and supporting them towards achieving their desired goals. By fate and opportunity in 2008, she dove into the mental health field leading adult groups focused on anger management, parenting and helping perpetrators of domestic violence, as well as youth groups for teens struggling with anger, truancy, and drugs. In 2010, she began work in a facility for children suffering with severe mental illness. In 2012, following her marriage, she moved to a new city and began working with adults and families facing major life transitions (e.g., coming back from the military to civilian life, overcoming addiction, and adapting to family life). Simultaneously, she built and directed a wrap-around program for young adults who aged out of foster homes. She has helped serviced, facilitated groups, and delivered workshops about relationships and marriage at universities and community centers across the West Coast.
Karam currently works as a behavioral specialist. She works with all types of cases and across all hospital units with individuals who face eating disorders, addiction, trauma, OCD, depression, and/or anxiety, etc. Moreover, she has a background providing early intervention autism treatment; as well as worked in family counseling.
Across her psychological work she utilizes and applies different psychological approaches for example, Cognitive, Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Karam is a dedicated and passionate individual who enjoys working as well as volunteering in the Mental Health field to help the people around her. Additionally, she has worked with all age groups, genders, and diverse backgrounds and she is trilingual, fluent in English, Arabic, and Russian.
