History of Colonialism in the Muslim World & Pathways for Decolonization
This an onsite and online seminar that looks to explore the history of the past one hundred years, colonization, and the post-colonial effect that has impacted the Muslim world. It will then discuss pathways for decolonization, what it entails, and offer discussion on the impact of education and narrative of history on our community development.
To know where we are going we must know the history of how we got here.

- The causes for decline of the Ottoman Caliphate
- Overview of colonialism
- Post-Colonialism and its effects
- The formation of nation-states in the Muslim world, its causes, & its effects
- Decolonization and what does it entail?

This course is suitable for anyone interested in Islamic history that formed the contemporary Muslim world.
